Writing to promote gender equality in ELT

    1. Thanks, yes, I’d seen that. I think the experiment is interesting (and depressing) and the idea of a book celebrating women in this way is great. HOWEVER, I also think that marketing it exclusively for girls to read is wrong – boys need to hear these stories just as much. To me it smacks a bit of cynical commercialism, targeting the ‘princess’ readership. There’s another here which doesn’t do that, though I haven’t read either so can’t comment on quality:
